I thought that Master Chief's Mjolnir armor was a Mark VI:-) Mjolnir Mark VII was mentioned in Catherine Halsey's diary, but it was never fully realized or mass produced. Anyways, it's not that important:-) the review is great, and i personally liked this game very much, i loved the atmosphere, the eerie soundtrack and the juxtaposition between the open ended Rookie parts and the action packed flashback sequences. It's very well made, and not a letdown at all
@greubermeister2 I did mention ps3 exclusives. But that is the point of me saying they are fanboys, they gave ODST a score practically as good if not better than those games. Yes, but to release something with a 6 hour campaign (if that) and two year old multiplayer to go with it, it should NOT be for 60$. You didn't see Rockstar release The Lost And The Damned or The Ballad Of Gay Tony for 60$ did you, no, and you will get just as much out of those as you will with ODST.
@contracts47 I smell that stink too, but not from GameTrailers; correct me if I'm wrong, but those games you listed are PS3 exclusives. If I were in your position, I wouldn't be criticizing anyone of being a fanboy (even if it IS true with the majority of reviewers). As far as the $60 price tag, are people really forgetting that the game comes with another disc full of Halo 3's content minus it's campaign?
@greubermeister2 I'm embarrased to call myself a gamer when Halo 3 ODST (a 60$ add on with a new 6 hour campaign and firefight mode) gets almost as good if not better score from reviewers than Killzone 3, Killzone 2 and Resistance 2. I can practically smell the fanboy stink coming from 95% of video game reviewers.
@myself2me OK, I admit, I exaggerated. In general, it's an okay purchase; it only seems like a bad value when compared to other Halo games. And I'm just a little pissed that it recycles the Halo 3 engine, which wasn't very good, even in 2007.
The amount of new content in ODST is about equal to the amount of content in Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, which isn't really worth $60 either, IMO. I'm glad that it's a Greatest Hit, so it only costs $30, now, because at that price, it's totally worth it.
@myself2me But it was 2 years old when this came out. Halo fanboys aside, I can't think of anyone who would want to spend $60 just for a new 6-hour campaign, a firefight mode, and the same EXACT multiplayer content that they already previously bought. That's a joke of a purchase.
I hate that this game got 8.9, because that's the same score as New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time, which give you so much better value for your money.
