For some reason 2 of my fish dropped dead this week (a Zebra Danio and a Orange-Glow Tetra, with another OG Tetra looking to be on his way out. I heard to put it in a cup with ice to just get it over with, but damn, the thing has been spazing out like in your view for the past few days and I feel bad just taking the fight away from it. It's belly is opaque compared to the others, any ideas what the problem could be? I put him it his own bowl just in case this is something that could spread.

@throwingchicken
as far as I can tell, sometimes they just get sick. Isolating the sick fish got rid of the problem in my case (by "isolating" I mean "killing and getting rid of it"), but I don't know what caused the problem to begin with. Pet shops have lots of different fish meds, you might be able to go to one and ask if there's anything you can give them that might help the symptoms.

Most Tetras are very sensitive to water conditions. Check your water hardness and pH.

Thanks for the advice. Actually I got 7 other tetras and this guy was the only one who ever went crazy then belly up. It might have been a parasite, right after this guy went, another fish (I don't know what kind he was) started acting loopy. I got rid of him as soon as I recognized the symptoms and I haven't had any problems since.
