For our latest mission we staged an unauthorized autograph signing in the Metropolitan Museum of Art with an actor who bears a striking resemblance to King Philip IV of Spain. Standing in front of the 400-year-old Velázquez painting, the "King" greeted museum patrons and offered free signed 8x10 photos.

What makes you think those people think that was the real, real, actual king of Spain? It's not like museums don't sometimes have events where they have people dress up in costume. They probably just thought it was a bit of fun to meet the "king", like when you meet Mickey Mouse at Disneyland.

I... think most people probably thought it was a museum event, not the actual king. The man asking questions was probably just a bit perplexed to what was going on, but when the man said "he's 400" he laughed and moved on. And I don't mean to be rude about accented people, but his accent wasn't "American", so can we stop with this "Americans are stupid" please? Anyway, I went to a museum in my city and they did something similar with Queen Charlotte. I knew it wasn't REALLY her, but it was cool.

It's not about naming presidents, it's about an old painting of a king with said king standing beside it giving autographs, I don't know the names of past presidents but sure as hell would know that this is fake, I'm not saying that Americans are stupid-- that would be at the level saying Asians are all smart... But you gotta admit if this crowd believed it they're undeniably stupid as individuals
