Republica were an English band formed in 1994. The band was started by former Flowered Up keyboard player Tim Dorney and Andy Todd, and quickly came to popular attention with their first single "Ready to Go" and its follow-up "Drop Dead Gorgeous". Nickel City Scene had the opportunity to speak with lead singer, Saffron, before a Buffalo, NY show in 1996.

Not a political band? HAHAHA! =)) Nice smoke screen, Saffron. Every1 knows U must promote some type of anti-white vibe, or @ the very least, communism, or the electric jew [TV] will ignore U. That was the purpose of the art & the name. B real.

..Makes me sad of what could have been when I see this interview, Saffron was on top of the world at this point..not since Kate Bush in the 80s did Goth boys have such a female pinup like Saffron and then she just disappeared into obscurity, she was not only beautiful but also extremely intelligent and unconventional.
