Paul still is fantastic. I love the latest Fireman-CD. The Hofner is an original, but an replic, it is not he orignal from the Beatles time. Paul has many of them. The sound is so warm, and the Hofner looks so fanstastic good

I think the höfner bass Paul is playing is the original one he got in 1962 and used during the Beatles. Awesome bass!
