BEFORE YOU COMMENT :
-The purpose of this video is only to show the difference between quick shifting and powershifting.
-Constructive comments are welcome.
-Stop whining about the shape of the transmission. I don't drive like that all day everyday, and it still shifts like butter (must be done properly though).
-Whining about the position of my hand on the steering wheel is also irrelevant. I usually drive with both hands on it, but during the making of the video I happened to let one hand on the shifter because I felt like it (multiple shifts on a short time).
-Thanks for watching and let the VTEC kick in, yo !

VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Quick lifted shifts vs full throttle powershifts. Powershifting means that you never leave your foot off the gas while shifting. Also added some rev matching near the end.

  • Do you ever see professional driver power shift? Like the Stig? No, because it's not needed, unless you want to fuck up your trans.

  • @XenomorphLV426 I already talked about that point earlier, but again it seems like I'll have to repeat myself. These techniques come in handy when racing IN A STRAIGHT LINE, because you will reduce shifting time (or time spent not accelerating). The Stig is faster than everyone because he knows exactly how to take each corner at the right speed, right angle, etc. Drag racing and circuit racing are two totally different things.

  • @HamadHHAG Any manual transmission, when you press the clutch it disconnects the motor and transmission. Otherwise its not a manual. Not one professional or sponsored driver I've heard of power shifts, Because it will fuck up your engine.

  • @michaelAKAgod it work will with nissan and toyota pickups because they don't disconnect the drivetrain

  • @HamadHHAG because when you press the clutch you disconnect the gears from the drivetrain and it will just start running hard for no reason. It wears your engine quicker and wastes a lot of gas. Powershifting is dumb

  • @HenrykCzypionka you don't get

i say try to not take it off the pedals to get better chirps and faster launching

  • @HamadHHAG because you are supposed to

  • why do you take off your right foot off the gas when shifting?

  • dont you just love the sound of v-tec :D

  • @XenomorphLV426

    True. Or your clutch!

  • @yungburrgariansmker powershifting if your trans handle it
