  • Wow! It sounds like he's got a sitar in this one. Why should that surprise me? He's played everything else. Amazing. Great pics too.

  • He only plays the Harp , here the sitar is played by a guest artist... but you are right I am sure Andreas could apply himself to most instruments. Regards from Gibraltar.

  • Hi, Higgy. May I call you that? Harp is AV's fave, but he plays several instruments. If you read the notes of earlier albums, half the instruments we hear together are played by him. And the "Magical Journeys" DVD which includes concert videos as well as the PBS program shows him playing so many instruments that I have tried and failed to count them all. Still, instant sitar playing seems steep, even for him.

  • I've tried a few times to post this. I'm new to YouTube, don't know, maybe we can't put links in comments. You can see AV playing various instruments in the YouTube video called: Andreas Vollenweider - Tales of Kira Kutan

  • Yes I have this Video... thanks Marquisartistic

  • Hi Marqu... The name of the musician on this track playing the Sitar is Prem Joshua. I have followed A.V.s music for over thirty years , have all his albums and DVDs and have seen him in concert in Augsburg Germany two years ago. There is a musician called Hilary Stagg who plays in the style of A.V. try and listen to his music. ( unfortunately he died of cancer early in his career ) Have a nice day.. regards " Higgy "

"The goal of the Department is to bring the government and hostile philosophies or societies into a state of complete compliance with the goals of Scientology. This is done by high level ability to control and in its absence by low level ability to overwhelm. Introvert such agencies. Control such agencies. Scientology is the only game on Earth where everybody wins."

    That's TR-4, "Do birds fly?"

Do you care about child abuse? In all probability it hasn't happened to you but I am certain you find it abhorrent. As a junior member of the sea org if you report inappropriate behavior by higher ranking members to your guardian, as will have little contact with your parents, you will be told to shut up and no one will believe you, because the person has a higher "rank" than you.

If a Sea Org member commits a punishable offense, they are sent to the RPF, or Rehabilitation Project Force, which is a sort of boot camp for "bad" Sea Org members. People on the RPF may only eat the food left over after the other SO members have eaten, may not speak to a Sea Org member unless spoken to, are not allowed to walk (they must run everywhere), are not allowed holidays, receive even less pay than SO members, and are required to do hard manual labor for long hours.

  • @OpenComments lmfao wrong again, troll

And now, I know that you and marquisartistic1 are the same person. How does it feel to have a sockpuppet for the purposes of making yourself appear more powerful? Parallel to Scientology's methods, of course - claiming they have 10 million members around the world, when the number is closer to 25,000.

  • @marquisartistic1

Girls who get pregnant in the Sea Org are given two options:

    a) Abort 'voluntarily' the pregnancy

    b) Get fired

If they decide option (b) they will bill you for the full price of all services done while on staff usually $50,000 – $300,000. Their husband will be pressured to divorce them, so that he can remain on staff. Your friends will disconnect from you.

WHY? Kids are a distraction for staff and expensive to the organizations.

  • Wonderful track from his latest album! Thank you for sharing it on youtube, Higgyhoggins!

The photography is also stunning and I have been wondering about the origin of the first 2 photos: one of them, with this lovely little ferry seems to have (not often seen) a flag of Estonia in front of it and the other reminds me of a magnificent place called Blautopf in South of Germany- do I remember correctly?
