Joanne highly recommends Philip Plait's book Death from the Skies!

The real reason Joanne broke up with astronomy was math, that's why the comment about including formulas in the book is quite ironic. But, Joanne did better in her physics classes than she did in some of her biology classes!

  • Lol, what a great review, I had to stop watching it in the office... I was grinning like an idiot!!!!

By the way, I was also torn between bio and astro/physics - then went for chemistry as an ideal middle ground :-P

  • I'm happy you like it! Organic Chem gave me nightmares (literally) but I loved Biochem!

  • Sooo, how are things going with you and Medicine? :)

    Great review.

  • Oh, that's hilarious! Very well, thanks!

  • joann buy binoculars and a telescope and do backyard astronomy!...dont swallow everything phillip plate (govt agent and disinfo debunker) says he is part of the ufo flying saucer cover-up! / @ milwaukee

  • MILF!!!

  • If Joanne broke up with Astronomy because of Math, did she then get together with Math because she was hot for math OR was Math such good buddies with Astronomy that Joanne just couldn't stand Math being around Astronomy all the time? I'm thinking it's the latter. And so now Joanne is smitten with astronomy again. Well I hope she has matured and she can show some respect to Astronomy and not just casually dump him if his buddy Math occasionally comes around for a visit.

  • Oh I had the most joyous professor of Organic Chemistry, every lecture was a fun ride... Org Chem II's lecturer was a drone though. therefore I went for Comp Chem!!!

I'm going to check out your other reviews now!!! It's brave of you to post them like that on the web!!!

  • Wow, you sure remember that conversation that you had with astronomy so vividly!

  • Astronomy would be lucky to have you. Medicine's a lucky science.
