Hehe @ 'mainstream religion has nothing to do with cults'. 'Cult' is the word we assign to any system of fervent belief that isn't the predominant religion.
Check its definition - it doesn't mean all cults are bad, or all religions are bad, it's just that there are bad examples (and good examples) of all of these. Just like anything, really.

@MsFullheart All religion is about controlling people in one way or another. And in the case of Mormonism, polygamy and bigamy occur within the mainstream Mormon church with a "wink wink" and a "nudge nudge." The families are on the down-low, but do you really think they're not supported in some way by the church? Come on....
