Using modern language, I would say: great cover!!!
-
Why not? I seem to remember an obscure British rock band doing an English version of this song back in the 1960's. In addition to utilizing an Indian folk instrument, they accompanied the text with exotic electrified 19th-century guitars.

I have listened to this for several times. Very cute!

Yes, dear Arto,
I think it's funny and cool to play ba-rock tunes on 'original' instruments...
And maybe it's a act of justice, thinking on the infinity of hidden quotations and mis-uses of Pachelbel 'Kanon in D-Dur' in rock & pop music..
so, keep on rocking, or
continua a rotolare in armonia, come le pietre inglesi...
cheers!

Kiva tunnelma ja mukavia bassoja : )

Well, Anna's comment in Finnish just was saying that the feeling is ok and the basses are cute. Any more comments? Is it ok to play music of 1960's by an instrument and aesthetics of 17th century? Arto
