iRacing Last 20 laps of the silver crown race at USA Speedway. These Silver crown cars are absolutely crazy to drive. I had to wait until I was all the way up on the straights until i could get on the throttle 100% or else I would spin out getting on the gas to early.

I ended up finishing 7th out of 17 in this race. The black car and white car in front of me were running in 5th and 6th place. I started catching them at the end of the race but ran out of laps. The race was very clean with everyone giving room and the race only had 1 caution for the 60 lap event.

  • I have driven a SC car for a test day at Memphis. As a racer, I gotta say there is nothing like it. Lots of power, not a lot of grip. You cannot adjust the twitch out of them, they are just that way. Short wheel-base, light weight, big motor.....Hard as hell to drive. The stagger makes them a handful even down the straightaway

  • ok, beyond the setup, these things are difficult to control because of thier power to weight ratio. its insanely low, and with hardely any weight to control that thing, youve got a ball of 600+ HP

  • ok, no setup help here. but how do you pull replays off o iRacing after you save them. (without fraps. i dont need to download anymore stuff)

  • yea that or you got a little too much toe in, but I've never driven a silver crown i bet they're pretty twitchy due to the short wheel base and track width from left side tire to right side tire is so short

  • It looks like to me, and I haven't driven a silver crown so I don't know their setup options, that you were having a heck of a time down the straights keeping control of that thing. Just based off that video I would say you were running too large of a spring and not enough shock compression. That would have alleviated the "get out of it to save it on the straights". Just saying lol.
