It lives in the cloud... ??? Any website that's live on the internet lives "in the cloud" ... And unless you set up redundant servers, your website WILL be dependant on one computer, being the web server it's on.

Free and open source... goes for all CMSs

You don't have to know HTML... also goes for all CMSs; this is the primary need for a CMS...

SBM exists for most major CMS, not just for WP

P.S.: Don't call programmers "little"; they're not midgets ;)

@marveladeguitar Sorry about the reference to programmers as little (wasn't meant that way) but as far as the other stuff, we are mindful that most of the people watching these videos aren't programmers and probably aren't even very tech-savvy so we tend to simplify it. Appreciate your comment and feedback and feel free to give comments on our other vids too.

hey WVR, I understand you want to simplify the subject, but please don't use arguments that make WO sound like it's the best platform, that are true for most/all ways of building a website.

Imagine the following car ad:

"This car has lights at the back that go on when you hit the brakes. Isn't that amazing? we call it 'brake lights' and it will warn the driver behind you that you're slowing down! We'll even throw in an alarm that beeps when you open the door and your lights are still on!"

My 2 cents on the statements in this video:

Search engine love a WP site : where is this a difference to a regular site? Google doesn't know (or care) that your site is built with WP. It only looks at the URL's and the content. URL's in WP will be SEO ready, but if the content is bad; search engines will not "love" it, just because you made it with WP.

Platform independance: this is inherent to the HTML language. This has absolutely nothing to do with WP vs any other CMS
