Stan Rogers song, "Northwest Passage," performed by the Bard of Cornwall, in Cavendish, Prince Edward Island. I sang this great song on the shore of the Atlantic. My wife, Laura, took the video.
My CD, New Old Songs, is now available for purchase: http://cdbaby.com/cd/fergusonj esse. If it is out of stock, please leave your email address to be notified when it is restocked.

  • I can't help but shed a tear.

Not just for those who died on the Northwest Passage, but all those who have died on the cold, dark sea, for Stan, for Canada, for sheer, powerful, and unrecognized talent, and for music.

Thank you for this. You truly have a gift and it warms my heart to see someone so talented helping to keep Stan's music and legacy alive.

Sending my love from Minnesota! Never stop singing <3

  • Now, i'm a person who is very hard to please. I have yet to find anyone able to perform that song to any standard that even approximates Mr. Rogers.

You, good sir, are the exeption. A sirring rendition, I must say.

  • If Stan Rogers was still around, he would be proud of this. Keep it up Jesse

  • I heard this and commented three years ago. Now up to 32 pages of comments on this. I think this touches people so much not only because it is a great song but because the ocean sounds are the perfect accompaniment to the song. Great choice to do this the way you did Jesse. I am also glad to hear that you are still pursuing your dreams and have a couple CDs out now.

  • You delicious young man! I have nieces for you.

  • Amazing... you are doing this with no help from your surroundings. I can only imagine how great you would sound in a concert hall with good acoustics. I'm blown away.

  • Your voice is so rich!

  • Your voice is amazing. Bravo!

  • @TSM8088 wow, I just got chills haha. Seriously. I think I'm going to play my whistle at the beach now.
