Bela Lugosi is superb here. His best role, better than Dracula. His career kinda came to a halt when they cast him as the monster in Frankenstien Meets the Wolf Man; it made sense, since his brain was placed into the monster in G of F; but they really screwed him by taking his dialogue out; didn't like his accent, thought no one would remember it was really Ygor. Result was bad; Universal shunned him pretty much after that. But this is his movie, more than Karloff, now mute again

Two of my favorite actors.

Classic.

Frank Skinner's score for this film was recycled in many of universal's horror films of the 1940's (most notably in "The Mummy's Hand"1940).

Didn't really like Lugosi as The Monster in Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman (just thought he didn't get the walk right), but I think he's a superb actor and I love watching him in movies. He and Karloff were great in this. Not really Shelley's story, but as it's own thing it's great! This is one of my favorite performances of his. I just can't tell why people seem to mix Ygor up with Fritz from the 1931 film though. They suffer from two different things. Oh well. He's still great.

I used to be deathly afraid of Frankenstein... Well, the monster anyway. Now I'm not.

This is how Basil's "Dr.Wolf Frankenstein"meets
Bela's "Ygor".
What a great scene! Lugosi was amazing as Ygor. One of his best parts. And Basil Rathbone was a great Wolf. The sets and music add a lot to this film, as with all the Universal horror films. A real classic.
