I sang 25 times to mix down as a choir.

1950年国庆前夕，时任天津音乐团团长的王莘在北京买乐器，途经天安门时，看到城楼上彩旗飘扬，一群孩子打着军鼓，他心里闪过一段旋律，五星红旗迎风飘扬，胜利歌声多么­响亮歌声就这么跃进了王莘的脑海里。王莘把歌写好后寄给报社，竟然遭遇了退稿。王莘索性跑到码头、学校等地方教大家唱。很快，该歌曲就传到了北京。1951年，《歌唱祖国­》就在全国唱响，这首歌以明快的旋律、华丽的歌词和激昂的情绪很快就感染了所有的中国人，一直传唱至今。

1982年，王莘因为脑血栓造成右半身体偏瘫，但是他却一直顽强地和病魔作斗争。2007年奥运会征歌时，王莘已在重病监护室病房里躺了21个月。2008年8月8日，《­歌唱祖国》拉开了奥运会的开幕式，当时全球有四十五亿观众听到了《歌唱祖国》的歌声。我想，父亲在天上也听到这首歌了，儿子王斌含着泪说。（资料来自网络）

The song writer Wang Xing was purchasing musical instruments in Beijing a couple of
days before 1950 National Holiday in China.He saw the flags and children in front of the Tian An Men Square, the lyrics and music note flew out of his mind. He wrote this song immediately. He taught the students and workers to sing. The song excited every Chinese at that time and soon it spread across the country. In August 8, 2008, the song was sung to open the Olympic Open Ceremony in Beijing. The entire world heard this song.

I wrote the harmony part and sung 25 tracks all by myself to have a choir to salute to my homeland China.

I went back and checked at least 10 versions of this song. Only one, IMO, is close to yours, but not quite. In Youtube, presented by sasalove2a1. I prefer yours. It is cheerful, almost playful. It sounds like you had the time of your life singing it. Other versions are too somber or too serious. And in general the Chinese female voices are too shrill and winny for my western taste. Your voice blends beautifully East and West.

This is my favorite version of this song sung by adults (or an adult) so far. Thanks for the interesting story behind the publication of this song. Children's versions by both Yang Peiyi and Lin miaoke are lovely with a slower tempo.

The companion music that I found is quite fast. So I sung 25 times (25 tracks) to make a choir effect. The song was recorded before the holiday. It was a rush to catch the time. Thank you so much for listening to so many of my songs. I am really touched by all my Youtube friends' support. Otherwise, I probably gave up posting 2 or 3 times before.
