7 Seconds live in Tampa, 1986

7 Seconds plays at the Cuban Club, Fall 1986. No one was allowed on the stage, until a fight broke out when a bouncer grabbed a kid who came up onto the stage. The band asked the club to let the kids come up as long as they didn't fuck with the gear. The club said OK and all hell broke loose.

I saw 7 Seconds 4 times between '86 and '88 at City Gardens in Trenton, NJ. I saw the New Wind tour and a show where they opened up for the Circle Jerks. When groups like Pearl Jam and Nirvana became popular in '92, all I thought was why them, and not 7 Seconds? I was cynical and couldn't stand grunge because of stuff like this.

I was at this show and it was crazy. I ended getting a black eye during 'Walk Together, Rock Together.' The Florida skins were an annoyance at those shows. This was the show where one stage dove and ended up diving right into the concrete - he was out cold until someone came along with smelling salts.
