the owner is trying to start a paintball league in northern NY. Essentially he is trying to make a forum so that all the local paintball players will have a place to meet/play against each other. The league would be organized into Teams of 7-10 ppl (none of this is in stone yet, just some ppl sharing ideas). There'd also be officers to represent the teams, vote on rules and manage scenarios. The goal would be to have 5-10 scenario/woodsball competitions a year with a championship match, a scoring/ranking system and prizes/sponsors. The teams don't have to play every game and members of teams don't have to always show. Essentially this is just a way to organize local paintball so that more ppl turn out and can have fun and then work towards taking it to the next level. He is also considering making a list of ppl willing to travel to areas in NY/VT/CN to play scenario games a few times a year. In this case, it wouldn't matter which local team you were on, everyone would be on the same travel team.

No name has been decided on for the league. Hopefully by next Sunday they'll have figured something out. It sounds like a lot of rules and organization and stuff but they're trying to have a really chill modeled league. Even if ALL the ppl on the team aren't available, there should usually be 5-7 ppl available to represent each team.

They will try to schedule things months in advance to give ppl time to get time off from work. He is hoping to get a website up that would have a calendar, a list of goals/rules, team rankings, contact info and team pages for each team to list its roster/bios.
We'd probably be playing 5-10 games a year which is like one every 2 months. If it takes off he might get Tippmann or PMI sponsorships for the league which would be sick.
