I recently received a Vintage Modified Jaguar bass from Fender to review. I thought it would be fun to video tape myself unpacking the bass and playing it right out of the box, no set up, just straight from the factory. It's a great bass and definitely gig ready right out of the box. I will be posting a more in depth review soon.

  • Serious suggestion: Put out a bass slap tutorial!!!!!!!! :O when you slap it hardly looks like you move your hand at all!!!!! :x im an amature slapper so if you could help me and many others out in that area it would be IMMENSELY appreciated!!!! :D by the way your website is killer!!!

  • @RecklessPollution Thanks sooooo much!! I really appreciate it!! I will think about doing a slap tutorial....I'm really concentrating on gear but might try something new...haha!! Thanks again!!

  • Do u play with a band?

  • @breakkfastman1573 I freelance, play with a few band around town, and get hired to do some sessions here and there.

  • Really good video. Awesome slappa da bass!

I have done a lot of research online to find a good bass at a good price (under $300) From all the reviews I've read and watched this bass seems like the best bet. I'm a bass nube, Two questions: Is this the short scale model? I didn't hear you say the scale length. and would you recommend this over the ESP LTD B-50 which is priced at about $199?

  • @MrRicheed Thanks soooo much!!! The scale length is standard 34" or long scale. I haven't tried the ESP but they do make really good instruments for the money. My money is still on the fender Squiers, really consistent construction and great tone out of the box.

    Hope this helps!!

  • Hey, I need some advice about my Jaguar. I just got one (in sunburst) a few days ago and just a few minutes ago the neck tone knob started moving freely! You can spin it around and around, so I guess that means it came lose. Why would this happen?
