  • 80 degrees f is 27 celcius.... wow i had no idea it had to be that hot....

  • @JordDBdrummer

you can keep them at 24-26C and they would be fine. P.metallica come from the forests in India, so 27C+ is their average climate

  • I was thinking about getting a gooty and was wondering what specific care is needed besides using extra caution?

  • @danimal310

anything that I said in this video and what I said in the revised form of this particular video (watch?v=E6AGQ9uc3GE&feature=related) applies to the P.metallica and all of its members. These are great tips in these videos. I keep all my pokies the same way. Again the greatest tip in owning one is to be careful. They are pretty defensive, very fast and have a bad bite

  • hahaha all it takes is one mess up and hey all come down and ur f-ed from then on.

  • @Fearkkzz

if you're talking about the shelves, I got rid of it and use industrial shelves

If you're talking about the spider, it is venomous but not lethal.

The enclosure is fine for the species.... hahaha

HAHHAHA If I had a dollar for everytime you said that I would have bought another Poecilotheria metallica. You know it was fun talking to an ignorant fool that believes cross-breeding is a good idea and the fact that interacting with highly venomous species makes you a superior keeper. I now have great pleasure in blocking you. So chew on that man :)

The way I see it YOU'RE THE TROLL. You started this, not me!! These are my specimens and I do as I please with them, I don't need a jerk telling what I already know. Who cares if it's a "universal box". It's healthy. can put one in a 2.5 gallon tall jar case and it will thrive . 5-10 gallons are a waste of space...I KNOW.. I have P.regalis in a 10 gallon and barely uses 1/4 of the height. And if you opened your sorry eyes...this is an arboreal setup and it has space to climb.

  • Hey Jon, my Metallica has just shed from 3.8-4.5" now, I think I lucked out and got a female but it could still possibly be a male... the video is up on my channel, hope you get time to check it out mate.

  • @The4104malik

Its a species that's not considered lethal, but the bite from it is not fun

  • @Jon3800 Oy..people don't realize that these beautifull creatures would stay in one spot if they didn't have to worry about predators and had a constant food supply and didn't have to go out and hunt. They're also very hardy, and odds are he has close to optimal living conditions already. You don't just spend the money on creatures like this without being willing to spend the money on getting them a beneficial setup.
