  • What a superb disk! He phrases so beautifully, with a rapt thoughfulness one so seldom encounters in this repertory. The soft phrases are very beautiful, particularly the magical ending. Good to hear Caprile, too. Great posting, ML!

  • Thanks Aulic.

So true about the opera- it is almost always panned by critics The opera emotionally devestates me... I love this tenor''s warm sound and stylish singing.

I was fortunate to have heard Olivero and Domingo @ 1972- stunning performance..

    Regards-John

  • Adriana Lecouvreur is a wonderful opera, too often neglected nowadays. Now all we need is a tenor of the quality of Krismer or Masini and a soprano similar to Muzio or Tebaldi to do it justice. Thanks, AE, for sending this my way, and thanks to maxlorenz24 for the posting.

  • This is the first time I have heard Giuseppe Krismer. My, 1:44

    Thank you for posting maxlorez24.
