Personally I am proud of ANY violinist of ANY nationality that can play this well. This person has the right to be proud of of a Jewish telephone pole if he would like..no one has the right to say who they should be proud of...music has no nationality, race or gender.
-
It is my policy to regard people by how they treat me as individuals and on a personal level. I don't make judgments regarding persons by what culture or race they come from. To dislike someone or prejudge them because of their culture is just ridiculous--people are just people and ALL cultures are changing and evolving and most have detractors that look for negatives are more than happy to point them out.

A musical gem! What a lovely performance!

What I love is that the young Mr. Hassid has made the interpretation of this little gem his very own.
Other celebrated violinists seem to always fall short on Kreisler's music--and I still prefer Kreisler himself to any other rendition.
But this guy had something REALLY special. A joy to hear him.

I want to CRY for this great talent.....how idiotic to perform a lobotomy on him...from which he died later..at about age 25...he suffered from schitzophrenia....but with advances in treating mental health today who knows he might have had it under control......well ...he is in Heavan Im sure....giving God and the Angels beautiful music

The best recording of this piece ever. Kreisler himself said "A Heifetz violinist comes around only once every 100 years, a Hassid once every 200". Thanks for posting!!!
-
great reproduction. Especially in consideration of it being a 78 rpm.
-
Absolutely stunning! Thanks for posting.

Arguably the finest violinist ever. Fritz Kreisler said that every hundred years a Heifetz comes along, and every 200 years a Hassid.

NeoSerafio-You sir are a fool and a bigot. Your imbecilic generalization of Jews shows your desire for them still to live in servitude. We said then-never again! Unfortunately there still exist snakes like you,and if required-we will sever the head from that poisonous snake before he poisons the minds and hearts of others who are sadly destined to be sheep and follow evil bad intentioned Your poor attempt at disguising your evil intentions is a testament to your evil nature.

NeoSerafio-And you sir don't have to bother trying to play the role of a fool and/or racist, you have already arrived at that destination. In your ignorance you only portray them to be just like any other group of people. Bigots like you have only strengthened their resolve and forced them to excel. For this we thank you.
Wow, is that record from the 1940s? that is some rare record you got there. That wooden tonearm looks like a Grado. Amazing sound from a record so old.

Yes, it was recorded in 1940. This tonearm is Grado, with DENON DL-102SD cartridge for 78rpm.

What a beautiful sound quality! Did you make this clip out of LP source? I wonder how much should I pay to buy his LP :)

I made this clip out of original SP(78rpm)source,not out of LP(33rpm).
