People asked me if we can drive the RedCat Sumo RC anywhere else except indoors, well here is the answer, yes we can have a back yard dirt track race. Check out the SumoRC in action on dirt track. It is tons of fun. Comments and feedback welcome at alishanmao@gmail.com or ali@redcatracing.com. Don't forget to check http://www.redcatracing.com, and http://www.youtube.com/alishanmao

  • Hey Ali! Be honest. I know you're sponsored by Redcat Racing, but is the Sumo 1/24 Truggy worth about $50 bucks? How fast does it go stock? Is it durable? Since it runs on AA batteries, can you change the batteries to a rechargable battery pack?

  • @jdkrs19 its worth truly I loved it. heard it goes 20mph. using more mAh and Rechargeable batteries plus upgrade on motor can get more speed. I used it with rechargeable batteries and it was better performer

  • can you run multiple with no interference?

  • @OrangePHX yup we tried 3 at same time. it was fun

  • @alishanmao

They all need to have different Crystals for the Transmitter and receiver right? How can I get different crystals?

  • @OrangePHX when you order them , you can mention in your order different crystals

  • Booooring.

Redcat's reputation already sucks. Are they trying to suck even more?

  • Nice fanny pack faggot

  • @ineedspeed27 me to

  • Hello, How long are the batteries, thanks.

  • 1:43 i think theres a snake in the left corner

  • @Mrmagicman29 for the $100 + that it costs can many add ons for the sumos. Glad to see that you now have hobby grade rc. there are lots of hop ups for the sumos available, oil filled shocks and all sorts of pretty aluminum parts but they are unnecessary for such small scale unless you want flash

  • @glassblower4gvn it's my first hobby grade and it's way faster then this it goes like 35 and has oil filled shocks

  • @Mrmagicman29

would never buy hpi, overpriced for same quality

  • these Sumos are a blast. We got 4 for xmas and run them all at the same time on the track. we switched from AA's to high mah rechargeable NiMH. Gave them a real kick in the pants. LiPos are a big no-no since the motors are not brushless. just make sure you put a little piece of foam in between the rear shock tower and the back of the motor mount covering the differential case. this is an area that fine dirt particles can enter the diff and slow down the car, easy fix!

  • don't buy this buy the hpi mini recon
