Chasing a Volvo at Portland International Raceway

Another nearly perfect club event lap on a sunny day. This time in Portland. Really had fun chasing this Volvo wagon, turning nearly identical laps. His R-compounds (Hoosiers?) made a difference. My Dunlop Direzzas just did not have the grip to catch him. Most evident on corner exit of C2, C7, and C12 trying to get to WOT.

Sweet video, thanks! The car actually was non-turbo, but the head had been midly ported, very shaved and was running e85. And yeah, 225/50-15 Hoosier R6s at that point in the day, if I remember correctly. We had 4 or 5 people drive it throughout the day, and earlier on we had the street Hankook RS2s on it. Sweet Focus!

Yeah, it's always great out there, especially when there's someone of similar speed. Can't wait for the rain to stop and the track to open back up next year!
