This mod enables damage for cars in NFS:SHIFT. This is v4.00 and requires full game and it is recommended to use only on patched game (latest v1.1 patch).

What it does?

Enables...

1)Gearbox damage, tyres can blow, engine can blow/damage, tire fall off

2)Front/rear aero affection, 'sharp object' damage on car (impact)

3)360Hz physics tick rate

4)Tweaked damage values to be more realistic and make the driver value carefull driving

Engine will detoriate with time according to damage it has and radiator damage preventing proper cooling. Wheel base can get bent, wheels fall off, deformation of car affects aerodynamics and more to provide a more realistic driving experience and the cautiousness of a realistic driving experience at blazing speeds!

  • i dnt get it.... wats the mod here? i thought damage was already in the game

  • @YoungChry

Default game only has limited damage and high damage treshold meaning you need to apply tremedous damage to car before a few car functions break. My mod enable the full damage system and sets thresholds to more realsitic levels. Note not fully realistic bu not nearly as forgiving as the default thresholds.

  • @VideoTubeStation So all those features like damage damper and gearbox failing was never added into the game?

  • @boyman999

    They where disabled by developers.

  • @VideoTubeStation Do you have any idea why they did that?

  • @boyman999

Simplifaction by either publisher request or their own judgement to make a in the core heavy sim engine (nothing strange since many devs for Shift are former Simbin devs and amongstthe best in the industry for sim racing games) and game more 'arcady'. Same reason they disabled their fuel system, pitstops, advacned tweaking menu, 24h races etc. That is all in the game but disabled. Sadly enabling fuel and pitstop seems to require reverse enginering of core game files.

  • why doesnt shift do this already?

  • @radulicah

How about you watch the whole video so that near the end you see when I spin the camera around the car to show the damage on the outside? :)

  • noooooo update the link please , it doesn't work :(

  • hmm hey dude is there a way to reduce the car engine heat delay?

I drive normally with the BMW M1 it can reach 8000 RPM before getting into red, i ALWAYS shift at 6000, but after 15 rounds on the hazeye eight (or something like that the small track) the engine blows, and i never get into red zone. So if there is a way to reduce that like 3-4 times less it'd be very nice if you tell me :)

  • @NeedForSpeed4Evur I totally agree mate, u go 170mph into a wall and u bounce off! it has damage like gran trismo

  • Will the AI take similar damage?

  • Seriously, the damage in Shift is so bad, even Pro Street has better damgae!

  • @YoungChry it is but this makes more damage in the real game you pretty much inly get dents in your car

  • @VideoTubeStation Where can I download this? Your link won't work.... Please help.

    Thanks!

  • @TechTalkTips i don`t think racing cars have airbags because of the fact that if an airbag deploys you can`t see a damn thing.
