This is my own trailer cut for one of my favorite Studio Ghibli films, My Neighbor, Totoro (となりのトトロ).
I've always thought that Disney did Ghibli a disservice by releasing Totoro as a straight-to-DVD project. Even the trailer for it, bundled with other Ghibli DVDS, is cut with this in mind. My trailer was cut as if it was destined for the U.S. theaters.
Cut as the second assignment for a class learning Avid.

Does anyone know where i can find that long totoro trailer that was about 3-5 minutes long; there were no words, it was just cuts from the film and this very epic, beautiful japanese song playing to it? My girlfriend showed me a few months back and i wanna hear that song again. The song has no words, but the melody almost sounds like its being sung by children.
@FinalFantasyFan92 May I just say, a pox on Disney for doing that. Not only did they get the Fanning sisters to re-do the voices, but they dumbed it down! I'm sorry Disney, but you CANNOT improve on a Miyasaki film. If you buy this film *MAKE SURE* you get an original Japanese DVD with optional English audio...that's the original, the way Hayao made it.
I have the Disney version on DVD and it comes with English and Japanese audio with subtitles for the english one and accurate translated english for the Japanese =/

Whenever I go over to my friends house we watch this. We have it memorized XD
Disney remade it for a second time in 2006 and it is still available on DVD and occasionally runs in cinemas still.
