Homeland Security Checkpoint: Video Blog - Day 4

While driving home from work on January 23, 2008, I was stopped at a suspicionless homeland security checkpoint 40 miles North of the border on Southern Arizona's SR86 near mile marker 146.

The agents were searching vehicles, interrogating vehicle occupants regarding citizenship status and running a drug dog around stopped vehicles - all absent reasonable suspicion of wrongdoing.

Problems with my camera prevented me from videotaping the entire stop. I was however quickly waved through after the agents realized I was recording the encounter.

I posted everything I have. The camera stopped recording for unknown reasons before I made it all the way through the checkpoint. At the primary stop location, they waved me through in short order. I didn't go to secondary.

Whenever an armed agent of the government seizes your person, whether walking down the street or at a suspicionless checkpoint, they are doing so under threat of lethal force if you don't comply.

If you don't understand this simple fact then at least do us all a favor and stop advertising your immature ignorance.

My cousin has a cattle operation near the border in AZ. I have gone through these stops and I will admit, in the past I have answered without giving it a second thought. I might do this same type of video but with an AR-15 on my dash which is legal. I wonder what the respose would be.

This pains me why are we being stop for doing nothing? And the bad guys stile get into this land and do harm to our city's and people. DHS at times does not make since.

We get Groped at airports while security search for underwear bombs. But a Mexican fishing boat with 100 illegals can float down our Pacific Ocean & be undetected for over 100 miles into Orange County, Ca Boat docks,while all on board jump out & run in every direction.

Obama presidential campaign was about securing or borders. He's a joke.
