Senate Minority Leader Bruce Tarr discusses Day 2 of the Senate's version of the Massachusetts State budget for Fiscal Year 2012. Topics include increases in both regional school transportation and the special education circuit breaker account and upcoming debates on gaming in Massachusetts and benefits to those who are not here legally.
What about the seniors????? Did we somehow forget that keeping them at home is cheaper than sending them to nursing homes? The home care case management and admin account and the purchased services monies need to be restored to their already paltry levels. Sen. Tarr has supported caring for seniors in the past, and I hope he uses his power and influence to see that they continue to be cared for in their homes whenever possible.
