Say Forever. 32

As I sat there by myself waiting the plane to take off I couldn't help but curse myself to a life of misery. There was no one to blame but myself. What had I really hoped for when I came over there? For her to jump in my arms and tell me to stay and we could go back to the life we once had? It was a foolish thought but I couldn't help but wish for some sort of miracle. "Please fasten your seat belt we will be taking off shortly." Taking in a deep breath I pulled up the shade to the window wanting to take a final look at the one place that held my entire life.

"So it seems as if my traveling buddy for this flight just got his heart broken." I turned to scowl at the person next to me but it instantly melted away as I saw Taylor fling her hair over her shoulder fastening her seatbelt as fast as she could. "What the hell are you doing here Taylor?" She giggled at my annoyance that she seemed to pick up from me. "Isn't it obvious?" Throwing her a humorless look I turned my attention back to the window as the plane started moving away from the gate. "If you claim to love her as much as you do then why are you sitting here on this plane leaving her behind?"

"She doesn't love me, there's no point in trying if I'm the only one trying." I turned to look at her as she seriously thought about what I had just said. Next thing I know she's in complete hysterics as the wheels of the plane finally leave the ground. "What the hell is so funny Taylor? I'm a grown man sitting here crying over his lost love and all you can do is laugh at my misery?" She gently wiped away her stray tears as she tried to calm down the best she could. "Now Nick this is no time to be bitter! I'm only trying to help. The fact that you actually believe that she doesn't love you makes you an even bigger idiot then I thought you were."

Rolling my eyes I turned my attention to the inflight movie they had playing, just trying to catch up with everything she just had said. "And how would you know that she didn't mean it?" I could feel her glare as I continued to keep my eyes on the screen. "What part of best friend do guys not understand?"

"I don't think she would just say that she didn't love me if she didn't mean it." I heard her sigh as she tried to get more comfortable in the seat. "Nick, I'm telling you from what I see and what I see is that she's head over heels in love with you. Through all that pain that you put her through she always found a way back to you. If you leave now, there will be no chance for you to work this out. Every single relationship has its up and its downs and you just have to work through them together. We all know you made a mistake Nick but what you don't know is that Selena has already forgiven you for them."

"How did you get on this plane Taylor?" I saw her roll her eyes as she continued to play with her fingers. "Lets just say I have my connections." Giving her one last look I nodded to myself not even wanting to know. "Or we could say that I'm a really good flirt when I need to be." I turned my attention back to her just in time for her to wink at one of the flight attendants walking by serving drinks.

"I don't know what to do Taylor; she won't talk to me let alone want to see me." Taylor was really something else, who in their right mind would go chase a guy to help her friend get back with her true love? I couldn't help but be grateful for her though; it was nice to know that I wasn't the only one fighting for our relationship. "So your genius plan was to run away from your problems? Oh by the way I told her you left the country, and you know what she said to me? She told me that you were really done with their relationship. She thought you were going to at least fight for her one more time."

"But does it always have to be me? I'm so tired of getting rejected or getting my hopes up for nothing!" She shrugged her shoulders as she smiled at one of the attendants as she asked for a coffee and pretzels. "What are you even doing here Taylor?! This isn't even your relationship and you're fighting for it to stay intact!"

"Well then just call me your guardian angel."

"More like the devil." I murmured to myself even if she heard me which I'm sure she did she didn't let it affect her. "You would go around the whole entire world to make your friend happy?"

"Well it depends but I know for sure I would travel across the universe to see true love unfold."
