I made this video because my hair is one of the things I receive the most questions about so hopefully this video will answer all of those questions for you guys and maybe some of these tips and ideas will be useful for those who have been wanting to grow their hair out.

WARNING: Please read the following before you post ANY comments on the video!!!

1. I AM NOT CUTTING MY HAIR! Do not ask me to cut my hair, do not tell me to cut my hair and don't start any comments with the phrases "If I cut my hair..." or "When I cut my hair..." - I AM NOT CUTTING MY HAIR! I mean to grow old and be a little old lady with long gray hair. Please respect my personal choice to live my life as I wish. Anyone who disregards this message and tells me to cut my hair will have their comment deleted and they will be blocked.

2. YES - I do know all about Locks of Love. You don't need to tell me about them. I actually know more about them than you can imagine. I am all for supporting those who are less fortunate and some day when I myself am more fortunate in life I will be more than happy to donate time, money, and even a whole box of synthetic wigs to needy children, but please don't ask me for my hair. If you are so determined that children have hair consider growing your own for the cause, and please consider that it is rude to demand that other people give up something personal and important to them. I know some people think its just hair so its not important, but clearly it is important to a lot of people. I know most people don't consider their own hair personal or precious but for those who do, please respect their choices.

3. If you dont like the makeup Im wearing in this video please keep your opinion to yourself. Rude comments will be deleted and blocked. This actually is not a hair focused channel. This is primarily a makeup channel for people who like brightly colored unconventional makeup. The reason Im wearing this particular look is because I had filmed this video right after I had finished filming the tutorial for this look, which was requested by one of my subscribers.

4. I am not taking ANY hair related requests! This is not a hair channel. I don't do much with my hair and I rarely style it or put it up in anyway. I don't know how to do much with my hair and therefore there isnt much that I can teach you and I don't believe in uploading un-necessary videos of me just showing my hair. I have one video seen here
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wi1VdqpDqxk
of me putting my hair up in a bun, and thats about the most complicated thing I've ever done with my hair.
I have another video where I show people how easy it is to brush and get my hair ready in the morning. I made this to dispel the rumors that my hair takes forever to do. Note that the video is only a minute and thirty seconds.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZ8hoYC-J7M
And I also uploaded a video of a photo shoot that I did for a photographer friend that features me and my long hair.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVZssNu6Wq0
Other than that I don't think I have anything else at the moment to say on my hair. If I do think of something new, that I think will be informative or useful to my subscribers, than I may make another video on hair, but as of now I think I've covered everything.

5. Please note that this is just my response to the questions people keep asking me about my own hair care. This may or may not be helpful if you have a very different hair type than my own. I understand some people have hair more prone to frizz, knots or hair that is thicker, wavier or curlier than my own. I am not a hair expert or a hair dresser. The only hair type I know and have experience with is my own and so if you have a question because your hair type is very different than mine please understand I have no experience with hair other than my own and I make no claims to being an authority on all hair types.

6. I've noticed this video is creating a lot of controversy in forums all over the place. People think I'm bitchy and snobby -- that's fine. I just tell it as I see it. But what I don't like is people putting words in my mouth. Please understand I NEVER said that "all" people with V cuts or long hair that comes to a point have ratty ends! Ratty implies damaged or split ends and I know I said split ends. When I say I see people with long ratty ends I mean "damaged" ratty ends. I know the difference between healthy V ends and unhealthy V ends and the V ends I am talking about in this video are the "unhealthy" ones. If you want "fairy tale ends" I have nothing against them -- they're just fine. People can trim fairy tale ends and have them look healthy, but those are NOT the people I am mentioning. I never said "all people" whose hair comes to a point have bad hair. Can you honestly sit through a video talking about healthy vs. non-healthy hair and think I can't tell the difference?

  • do you rinse your hair out in cold or hot water???

  • @callmemonalisa47 warm/hot

  • you have really pretty hair, mine is almost as long as urs:) but honestly, i think that makeup is too dark...

  • @RusRapunzul This is an avant garde makeup channel, it's not really a hair channel. The look I'm wearing was requested by one of my subscribers.

  • Ok, that "nasty rat tail" you keep referring to is actually called "fairytale ends" because believe it or not, a lot of people prefer that to a blunt edge. And by the way, arbitrarily starting to grow your hair is far from a bad thing. Maybe someone had long hair and made the mistake of cutting it short, much to their regret, and decided to grow it long again. Big whoop. Yes, people are defensive of their hair because yes, it does take a lot of partience and work to let it grow. Let them be.

  • @emmaperreault91 I have already addressed this misinterpretations on my video in the video information box, please read it.

  • @bzylizzy I've already done modeling actually (you can see the photoshoot in my earlier videos). The photographer specifically chose me because she loved the way my hair looked on me and I love the way it looks on me too so I shall be quite happy to stay the way I am.

  • omg i love you hahahha, i only wish to have hair even close to as long and healthy as yours!!

  • @ThePinkLadyJ oh ok:)

  • Sorry about those who misunderstand the ratty ends. I thought it was very clear in your video that you were talking about the unhealthy uncut ends.

  • @VredesStall Trimming hair does not make it grow faster!!!!! It keeps the hair healthier as a whole because you remove damage, but it does not stimulate growth. Give it a little while to grow into itself, and if your ends are really damaged, cut off a little bit, as much as you thiknk should be taken off. Going from short to long hair requires adjustments for you as well as for your scalp, so give it time to get comfortable.

  • @VredesStall I'll send you a private message reply so we don't flood the comments
