Nebraska Marriage Is So Gay

Today at 9 AM, Douglas County Courthouse, Omaha, Nebraska issued a gay marriage license. In an act of demonstrating the lack of equality and protection and to protest Defense Of Marriage Act (DOMA) Lesbian Comedienne-Christine O'Leary and the founder of Gay American Heroes-Scott Hall, both openly gay, applied for and received a marriage license for the State of Nebraska, Douglas County. In Nebraska all that is needed to be married is 2 opposite gender people over the age of 19 and $20. Residency, love, heterosexuality or truth not required.
Last year, 39 people were killed in American because they were gay. We do not have rights, equality or protection. The newly weds have registered for gifts as donations to www.gayamericanheroes.com.

justice and equality are nonsense hippie sentamentalities that are about as likely to happen in any real way as a visit from the tooth fairy. by giving you the right to marry and further flaunt your degenerate lifestyle my right to not be exposed to such things is diminished. The problem with your response is that our love is normal & real, our money used to pay taxes is normal and real, our participation in the world is normal and real, our contributions to this world is normal and real, our lives are normal and real. I dont agree this is a turf war. Our group was there to file paperwork for marriage for 2 people of the same sex. A man & women getting married is not against the law even if they are both gay. The OWH actually had a nice article in the paper (did you read it?) it was more than the 5 lines on the web.

Omaharoyal, you've blown this out of proportion! I invited Christine to join our Marriage Protest. The video is to shows Nebraska did marry 2 gay people, yet we have same-sex couples who can't marry. Your post is a sympton of Omaha's turf wars. We cannot exclude people how want 2 help our cause here in Omaha. Omaha's gay community should reach out to others who are willing to help, like Christine & Scott. This video is better publicity for us than a 5 sentence blurb we got @ OWH!!!

What do people find funny about this? Its not against the law in Nebraska for a man and women to apply for a marriage license, even if one or both are gay. What is the point? Marriage action day you you made a mockery of what the GLBT community struggles for. This is NOT a comedy routine! These are lives that you are making a mockery of.
