Ah! a classic BJH song from the caught live dvd and the concert in 1974. All rights and footage belong to BJH and their record label at that time. I just love them sooo much people have to hear them!

  • Saw BJH around 71/72 at Kingston Poly. Fantastic then and I'm pleased they are still going strong, minus Les and the sadly deceased Mel. Although I have been getting into my teenage daughter's music lately, which is fine actually, I still like this stuff, particularly Mocking Bird. I'm intrigued that you're a fan despite being too young to have seen them in their prime. This just shows that classy music will always find fans!

  • Wow - wha ta time to see them :)!

I don't really like any 'modern' bands - this is the musci for me :).

It's the bain of my life that I could never have seen them then, the way it was! but JLBJH is the next best thing :)

  • Thanks for posting this!! It was a real thrill to see! I didn't know this 'Caught Live' DVD existed but I'm going to hunt it down now!

First saw BJH at a smallish gig at Crewe & Alsager college (Cheshire) in 1973 and again in Leeds (Town Hall) in 1975. Still got the tour programme for the latter. Always finished with 'Mockingbird' what a classic track. Happy Daze! Thanks again!

  • :) my pleasure...literally :).

Ah it's an excellent DVD...lots of behind the scenes etc too! I've only seen JLBJH. Once. 2006. Excellent best day of my life! Very envious of you hehe. Wasn't around then though :(. Sarah x

    we need ur voice

  • I see you are also a fan of Wishbone Ash- another one of my old favourites, who also split into two like BJH. I never saw them, though was tempted to see Martin Turner's WA recently, though Andy Powell's version are apparently better. Re modern music- look beyond the charts. My daughter recommends Geneva. I've seen Keane and other bands with her, mostly very good. Re prog rock, punk's arrival seemed to freeze it into a museum! Good to hear from you! If I get the chance I'll try to see JLBJH.

  • Yea it was..good to hear from you..

  • I was there great times

  • Yea Mish the memories oh the memories...bought an overpriced afgan while the tents were burning...BUT what a concert...good to know that you also survived, you may have been the one telling me to "sit down" while I tried to catch up with my LSD floating head...

  • Yes I was there with you, in body if not in mind as well! and yes, great festival except didn't some tents catch fire? and I lost my shoes and cut my feet and felt nothing! BJH were great, and the memories - how I hate getting old! Mish
