Hazel asked for me to fix the camera to her bike again, and this is the unedited video from our subsequent walk/ride. We went 1.7miles (2.7km), which is pretty impressive for a not-quite three year old. We got to play Pooh sticks too!
If you have, or know someone with, a kid over about two years who can't ride a bike yet, I completely recommend one of these bikes - they're so liberating for the child and the adult too (so long as you don't mind running to keep up!).
Love the video.Took me back to when I was a kid exploring the area where I grew up in(Melbourne Aust) on my first bike. You have some wonderfull paths and tracks to explore nearby.Wholerheartedly agree about learning to ride on the like a bike for beginners. They are called balance bikes here and for good reason.I have taught many adults to ride a bike using the no pedalling, legs out as outriggers and roll down a gentle slope approach. It's the quickest way to get a sense of balance.Cheers.
