dj1yfk for one. Lots can copy faster than it is humanly possible to send with a paddle, and rag chew at those speeds (80 - 100 wpm). Look up the fast operator group and the High Speed Telegraphy (HST) competitions.

When you get that fast is the fellow receiving writing it down and reading, or just "hearing" it as you key?

@B17MIKE At those speeds, "head copy" is the norm. No need to write anything down.

Are you using this with a keyer? I hear more dots than I see movement.

Yes. There are also "Sidesweeper" or "Cootie" keys which are mechanically similar but do not use any additional electronics. This is a single lever key, used with a standard iambic keyer circuit.

No, it was connected to a transceiver (Elecraft K2).
