About the Speaker -

Shaykh AbdulBary Yahya is known as the most laid back, easy-going instructor in the AlMaghrib line-up. He is often used as the example for patience at its best, and hence had a hard time finding his classroom pet peeve. He is infamous for his personal funny experiences that he uses wittingly to teach and help you remember an Islamic concept. He describes himself as well-rounded, both literally and figuratively. Just don't underestimate him at a game of (American) football, which he used to play competitively.

Shaykh Abdulbary has been quoted as saying, "What has this world come to: I'm supposed to be teaching you Karate, and yet I'm teaching you Islam." He was born in Vietnam during the Vietnam War, and very soon thereafter immigrated to the U.S. with his family. He grew up in Seattle, WA and after completing his primary and secondary education there, began his studies at the Islamic University of Madinah. It was at the University that he befriended Muhammad Alshareef, as they sat next to each other in the first year of their studies.

Upon graduation from the Islamic University of Madinah's College of Shariah, AbdulBary Yahya returned to Vietnam and Cambodia and became a teacher and director of the Umm al-Qura Charity Organization in Vietnam. He presently resides in Seattle, WA with his family where he is currently the Imam of Masjid Jaamiul Muslimeen in Seattle, WA. He also holds the positions of President of the Cham Refugee Community and Vice-President of the Islamic Center of Washington State.

  • doudson1 my brother i know how you feel

But do duah for them that Allah opens there hearts and guides them. People are forgetting that will soon all be facing Allah and questioned for what we have done in this short and quick passing life. The day of regret is near when many of us will wish we never did the wrongs what we did. May Allah guide and forgive us all
