Dynamite Donna Summer is still dynamite!

@nickea727 I remember Sha Na Na being on WXON ch. 20 (next WDWB, now WMYD ch. 21.1). If it was on WXYZ I don't recall, as syndies weren't seen doing much station-hopping in any market in those days. (Star Trek: TNG being an exception, first on KATN ch. 2 Fairbanks, then moving to KTVF ch. 11 to complement their library of original ST shows.)

Sadly, my mom remembers Bill as kind of being "Booze" Bonds, due to his being caught (at least twice) for drunk driving. His on-air role got reduced somewhat in the late 90s, doing op-ed pieces during the 5 or 6 (mostly adding nothing, though, to the "issue du jour").

Somewhere out there, someone has a video of Bill Bonds challenging Mayor Young to a boxing match. I( wish they would post it.

Donna Summer was smokin' back in the day too. Has it really been three decades? Jesus.

Great memories! The newscasters in my town (Jax. Fla.) all look like they rubbed elbows with the country club to get their position on local TV news!

Diana Lewis got a brief role in the movie Rocky as a newswoman reporter.

Its funny channel 7's logo hasn't changed at all, when I look at all the other classic Detroit stations like 2 or 4,their logos have changed through the years.
Robatsea2009, have you uploaded the commercials from WXYZ during the movie "The Moon Is Blue" that had various 7:30pm promos such as Name That Tune, Sha-Na-Na, and Match Game PM?
