My granddad's got one and it basically IS a golf cart, just a bit bigger. Aluminum frame but still heavy as hell from the lead acid batteries. If you got one and upgraded to lithium ion batteries it would actually be pretty quick, not to mention having much better range. $16,000 new is a joke, seriously. They're NOT worth that but at a lower price they are a great little vehicle if you live in a city with lower speed limits. You didn't ask him how much it costs him to drive 20 miles.12 cents
