Dan Fogelberg changed the way I listened to music back in 1972 when I was only 12 yrs old. Years later, I became a musician and songwriter with (some) success simply because I was inspired by Dan. I not only listened, I became one of his biggest fans because he moved me and seemed to know me, like he has done with any serious listener with a heart.
I wrote this song for him around 1983. I always fantasized I would someday play it for him, and never thought he would leave us so soon.
I have nearly everything he ever recorded, and don't claim to be his biggest fan (because we all are).
I only know I miss him terribly without ever having met him.

A sea of blind emotion was my mind
