  • No, neither my husband nor I have allergies. However our 5moth old at the time, always had a clear runny nose, after we moved out the runny nose went away after 3 days. When we moved back in it didn't come back. Unless of course she had a cold. It was scary at times, we were unsure of what to do. But we researched a lot, talked with microbiologists, mold remediation companies, contractors and our insurance adjuster. After 5 long brutal months and $26,000 later it was all gone.

  • Sounds expensive.

  • yeah it was very expensive. All could have been prevented with a $3 part to fix a leaky sink. Note to you if you are or will be a home owner fix the leaky faucet before it gets like this and you have to spend over $20,000.00 fixing the leaky facet.

  • If you see mold, smell mold you got mold. Who cares what type of mold. Fix the water problem.

  • Yeah we saw the mold, we knew we had mold. We have removed it over a year ago. We fixed the entire kitchen. All new pipes and flooring right down to the joist. Thanks

  • did you have breathing problems with the mold? and if so did it go away after you cleaned it up?

  • get a burrito

  • We have been suffering from floods in the basement but don't see or smell mold.

We found out that it is due to the rain gutter being too short. It is saturating the grass so that it has no where to go but down the side of the house into the basement and garage.

  • @exodus21v20 sounds more like your crazy

  • Throw away your bleach! Bible god provides this procedure for killing mildew:

To purify the house of mildew take 2 birds, cedar wood, scarlet yarn and hyssop. Kill one of the birds over fresh water in a clay pot. Then take the cedar wood, hyssop, scarlet yarn and the live bird, dip them into the blood of the dead bird and fresh water, and sprinkle the house 7 times. Then he is to release the live bird in the open fields outside the town. In this way it will be clean." [Leviticus. 14:48-53]

  • That's amazing

  • Some black molds are very deadly, others are not as deadly(ex. aspergillus). The most "black mold"(remember, black mold is a description, not a species of mold) is aspergillus niger. While not very toxic on it's own, aspergillus can cause fungal sinus infections(which can become deadly), and cause allergic people to have allergy symptoms when ever they are around i. Some people also can have it grow in their lungs(aspergillosis), and people with asthma can have asthma attacks around it.
