12-year-old Dre Parker could've been the most popular kid in Detroit, but his mother's latest career move has landed him in China. THIS IS NOT THE KARATE KID. The title is A LIE. The only thing this movie has in common with The Karate Kid is the title, and the main villain's stupid hairstyle. Where Mr. Miyagi brought quiet, subtle exposition and character development about his sad past, Poor Jackie Chan vomits sheer dumb sentiment all over himself for HALF AN HOUR, because apparently SUBTLE isnt in the director's dictionary.

It's also not KARATE, it's KUNG FU. It's THE KUNG FU KID.
