So my sister & I went to Comic Con 2009 & got to go to the Disney Animation Panel. They had a lot of cool stuff and interviews with people who are working on upcoming Disney/Pixar films. So heres the 3rd part of the panel, hosted by John Lasseter. Hayao Miyazaki made an appearance to talk about his upcoming film Ponyo, which is going to be released by Disney in English here in the USA. The movie is supposed to be based on the Hans Christian Anderson story the Little Mermaid. And yes, Mr. Miyazaki was the only person at the panel who got a standing ovation from the audience.
Sorry, but I didnt get any video of the new footage that Disney/Pixar presented to us during this panel. Why? Glad you asked:
1) They asked us not to tape during the special footage they brought, and I respected their request.
2) Most of the clips were in 3D and wouldnt have come out looking that great on my video recorder.
3) They had a lot of people patrolling the room when the footage was shown. If you were caught with your camera on, you got in trouble, maybe even taken out of the room. I waited nearly 2 hours to get in, I wasnt risking it.
4) Even if I had wanted to take my chances and tape during the special footage, it wouldve been stupid for me to have done so cause I was sitting on the side aisle next to a group of security people. If I had taped, they wouldve seen me for sure. Thats why I put my camera down a few times during this video, cause they were walking past me and I didnt want to take the chance that they would see me taping even during the interviews.
"2) Most of the clips were in 3D"

Ponyo wasn't in 3D, but most other clips from other movies were.
