Dont Create A Path To A War Again. We All are Sri Lankans . Dont Spoil the country again. We Need Peace Not Selfish Thinking. Leave Innocent People Alone. Dont Blame to others, put the blame on you first. Past is past & its not present. Dont create a war again ! Show that you are a Real Sri Lankan & no need to Say that You Are Sinhala Buddhist.

Beautiful anthem I don'know why but I deeply Love this anthem and flag, I'd almost want to kiss it and prostrate myself before it and offer incense to it, because this country like all of Se and S asia commands respect for Elders Monks and parents.

Me too. I mean GUNS in a flag. WTF is that for. But from your last comment about Sinhala being better than Tamils and Muslim that's what started this almost 3 decade war! So if people keep on saying that the LTTE will keep on fighting so yeah. That's why the LTTE want the area where Tamil's live their own country. I would of joined them if people kept on saying "HA HA! WE'RE BETTER THAN YOU STUPID TAMILS HA HA HA HA!" Er they would be dead by then.

You will find many comments, some so ill-informed as to be unaware of Panthera leo europaea, on the transCurrents page. Thoughtful discussion is always a good thing. It’s those who use white vans to silence dissent that we should oppose.

Sri Lanka's flag clearly sends the message of Sinhala (the Lion's) dominion over Tamil & Muslim minorities. In 1951, Sinhalese politician Dr NM Perera condemned the flags derogative implications as a fraudperpetrated on the minorities. They [Sinhalese] are going to have the Lion Flag and these stripes are for the outcasts. The true intent of the flag is to show the divide between Sinhalese jatiya and the foreign inferior Tamil/Muslim parayo.
