no it isn't majority of it is that the dx3s uses dsm1, which has slower latency then dsm2 which is used in the dx3r, only noobs need the dx3s which has telemetry, people that know how to tune dont need all that bullshit

@doggydoo72 plus smaller screen and no 3rd position on the 3rd channel (annoying for crawling!)

however the dx3s is very good value for money
