@rosamaryful Appreciate that.

@usdeptofsmooth , I understand what you're saying.

@rosamaryful Compassion only means to have a deep awareness for the suffering of others, regardless of the suffering. My compassion is vast. Actions speak another language. Did I get angry about the VT massacre? Yes! Did I get sick to my stomach about the VT massacre? You bet! But compassion for others does not mean condonation of someone's heinous crimes. A person has to have a deep wellspring, understanding and awareness to have compassion. Most do not comprehend compassion; this is a choice.

@usdeptofsmooth , Yes, very serious and frightening.

@rosamaryful cont'd..There is another schizophrenic who murdered a university student in Idaho last summer. The schizophrenic was a very bright, highly educated science professor. He had relations with one of his students. He became violent towards her. She broke off their relationship. He stopped taking his schizo meds, purchased a weapon and shot her in front of her home while she was smoking a cigarette. I am NOT surprised she was killed, but don't condone his actions. This is very serious.

@rosamaryful I am not defending his actions. I am not condoning what Cho did. I am never going to defend his actions, but most people do not understand schizophrenia. It is a SEVERE mental disorder ~ one that most people (who don't understand it) take lightly. It's not supposed to be taken lightly. It's supposed to be treated. If people want to keep others safe, alive, out of harm's way, they need to hurry up and educate themselves about this disease so that this doesn't happen again.

@usdeptofsmooth Well, yes, he did need help. Although I NEVER, EVER would've thought that someone would comment to me, in a manner that you did, for NOT feeling sorry for cho.
-
@usdeptofsmooth , WTF? WTF? Are you SERIOUS? You're defending him?
I can't........I can't ....I'm SPEECHLESS!

@rosamaryful In NO WAY am I excusing Cho's actions, but he needed very strong medication to curb the voices, garbled thoughts, or whatever he was experiencing that prompted him to massacre. He needed to be under strict supervision, but the way society operates, he was under no obligation to seek treatment, and THAT, coupled with his garbled thoughts, hearing voices, etc, plus the ability to purchase arms as a schizophrenic, is what killed all 32 of those people at VT (RIP to all who perished!)

we all die someway somehow.... but killing someone unarmed.... dang man.... thats a hella naw fo me.... no one is an enemy unless they give threat to your life... man he was just mad.... but yeah the world does have a whole lot of hypocrites... still tho.... shooting a rival who endangers your life is one thing.... but killing people like this... man.... i dont know what else to say
