『新陰流兵法 居合(抜刀）』演武

新陰流兵法正統居合(抜刀術)の技は、実戦的居合、合理的刀法居合であり、一呼吸で行い、防御から攻撃に転ずる技であり、一挙手一投速にいたるまで、隙がなく殿様居合と云­われています。

第二十世柳生厳長先生と共に活動された、鹿嶋清孝先生より新陰流兵法居合(抜刀術)を正伝された、志道館初代館長・森十郎先生教えを伝えています。
新陰流兵法の太刀を併せ修行体得することが必要です。

Iai does NOT originate from Kendo. You need to be slapped with a history textbook as hard as possible.

Jinsuke Hayashizaki is given enormous credit to formalizing and creating the ryuha of many iaijutsu/iaido branches over 400 years ago, including my own "Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu".

Modern "Sport" Kendo=17th/18th century.

Kendo however, does have seitei Iaido and ZNKI due to many instructors feeling the SPORT of Kendo had some limitations with replicating a real cut with a shinken.
