Sure, its the best defence against North Korean missiles! The gundam has thrusters to allow it to fly and then lock on to the missles and intercept it with its own missiles, based on the American missle defence technology. Just adapted for Japans new self defense robot.

what ?! are you really serious they´re building such things for defense purposes?they are really trying to do this, just like in an anime!!!???could you please explain more about this?

Is this based on the anime?

Not at all. Its based on the prototype models the Japanese National Defense Forces have been working on in recent years. They're trying to get support for more funding by building these display models. Public opinion on the subject has turned against them due to massive budget problems and technical delays.

American. Been here just over four years. And no, Japan is not the most welcoming place. In most of the west its very easy to become part of a country. To "become" Canadian, American, British. No one can ever "become" Japanese. No matter how much you try, you'll always be an outsider. It gets to you sometimes.

hmm my friends uncle lives in Tokyo for buisness, "beautiful place to visit, but they dont want you too stay." not sure if that was true, but i did know they had very low imegration rates.
still sorry to hear that, but hell im sure you got quite a few friends. do you ever visit america for familly or friends?

Its a good place to visit or live for a short while, its a very difficult place to make a life for yourself. Its nearly impossible to become a Japanese citizen, or own your own business, or get a loan, or get a decent job within a Japanese company (unless you work for its Western office and get transfered).
I visit the US every now and then. I'll probably be back there for good next year.
