fear of demons is a twofold problem. 1. fear is a lack of faith in the protection of Jesus Christ. 2. fear is faith in the enemy to cause one harm. when an object is feared, this constitutes a beaking of one of God's laws, "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image and worship it. once one has done this, one has opened the door for evil to have dominion over one's self.

@sarahbright82 How does a gun become dangerous it is not the metal, nor the shape, nor the masses who touch one alone. The danger is in the individual who sees past the construct and or through the uneducation of morality, conciousness, and consequence. Their is no scientific study that can with 100% determine the future predictability of evil but we do know it exists, and without those who show the effects of evil and exposes its consequence where in lies the proof.

@OCPRS You have summed it up perfectly OCPRS, an item is not needed. Thank you for your thoughts and professionally handled disscussion. Best wishes to you and God bless..

Hi Tony,
Ultimately, evil influences act on the individual, and objects do not exert influence, but the evil spirits behind them do. Maybe its because (as you say) we focus on the object itself rather than the influence. At this point I can't help but say that evil influences don't need objects unless we ourselves give such objects special recognition or attention. In the end, I trust you guys know what you are doing. In Christ, God bless.

@crystalship42 correct Crystal it is in the recognition. There is No priest, nor man, nor mortal more powerful than Satan, only God and one's faith are.

Hi mistyb2008,
I too am fond of the First Nation/Native American peoples and their belief systems, but whether we bury or burn it, it is necessary to respect the fact that objects can be possessed and are therefore dangerous. Even among the Native Americans, fire holds a sacredness and purifying agent. This is similar to most cultures and religions. However, to bury something is also good.
Thanks for replying to my comment and God bless.

@OCPRS I personally do not believe a spirit can be bound if strong enough, if evil enough, but I also believe to burn anything evil is to release it's spirit...to free it....giving it the option to find a new place to dwell. Burning is not the answer.....I believe to bury it would be. Go back to the roots of the Native Americans or Shamanism their magic is simple and holds many answers. I follow my own path but I take with me bits and pieces of knowledge from many aspects of life..
@nespr3
Hi Tony,
I understand your point about history, but brawyn777 makes a good point. Why? As you said about the doll, it has been bound and blessed by a Catholic priest, BUT if so, how did the evil from the doll affect a motorcyclist to crash and die after he made light of the doll? Perhaps it has not been "bound" because it remains in someones keeping. St. Gregory the Dialogist mentions that demons do feel fire, and perhaps in fire is where the doll belongs?
Best regards,
D.

@OCPRS True evil is in our own recognition we give these items and the power is not necessarily in the item but the forces that act upon them. To an atheist is the host received at a catholic mass, hold more significance any then any bread eaten. Many 100's of 1000's have come to see these items with no issue with the exception of one who challenged evil to hurt him to prove its existence, & sadly he is no longer with us. Does that make it the item or the action of man, I see it in the actions.
