After your computer restarts, connect your M-Audio USB audio device. Pro Tools KeyStudio customers should connect the USB Micro; Pro Tools Vocal Studio customers should connect the Producer USB Microphone, and Pro Tools Recording Studio customers should connect the Fast Track USB.

Pro Tools KeyStudio customers can also connect and power on the KeyStudio 49 keyboard at this time. This keyboard is plug and play, so no additional installation steps are required.

You should see a Pro Tools M-Powered Essential shortcut icon on your dock. Click this icon to launch Pro Tools.

You have several options here on the Quick Start screen. There are a variety of Session Templates that include preloaded instruments and effects for the selected musical style. Select a template or choose to create a blank one and click OK. In the Name the Session dialog, choose where you want to save the session, name it, and click Save.

After Pro Tools opens the new session you are ready to start recording with Pro Tools M-Powered Essential.

Please read the Intro to Pro Tools guide found under the Help Menu in Pro Tools. This guide provides examples of how to record, edit, mix, add effects and more! Im sure youre anxious to start recording and making music; this guide will help you do just that.
