Susun Weed makes herbal infusion - Comfrey (Symphytum) leaf is free of the compounds (PAs) found in the root that can damage the liver. Comfrey is also known as "knitbone," and no better ally for the woman with thin bones can be found. And, don't forget, comfrey contains special proteins used in the formation of short-term memory cells. Its soothing mucilage adds flexibility to joints, eyes, vagina, and lungs.

An infusion is a large amount of herb brewed for a long time. Typically, one ounce by weight (about a cup by volume) of dried herb is placed in a quart jar which is then filled to the top with boiling water, tightly lidded and allowed to steep for 4-10 hours. http://herbshealing.com/How_to_make_Infusions.htm

  • Dear wise woman, do you take adult leaves of Comfrey or young leaves? My reason for asking is the young leaves contain more pyrrolizidine alkaloids (which some say are problem causing) and maybe the reason you have not had any problems all these years is you use the mature leaves? Do you know why type of Comfrey you use?

    symphytum uplandicum

    symphytum asperum

contain higher levels of pyrrolizidine alkaloids

  • I've never done this before. I just went out to check on my plants and see I have lots that need moving to happier places! I brought in three plant tops and will dry them and check out the infusion! I make salve with it, though.

  • Where one can find to buy this Russian comfrey (Symphytum uplandica x)? Everywhere I looked they sell only regular comfrey (Symphytum officinale). Thanks

  • can we tincture comfrey as well? and can i use 151 rum? its all i can find in my house that nobody uses. thanx

  • I drink the tea every day...your vids are very informative thanks.
