  • She is lying she would have cancle if he would have ask her to marry him. No dough in my mind, a girl has to hold on to some pride.

  • @IBGECKO the unwilling to commit wasn't really a bombshell. :) If you think about it actions speak louder than words. He said a lot of things. That he was ready and they were booking their dates, but if he REALLY wanted to marry her then they would have been married a long time ago. And that asking him to marry her on a cake was a question to see if he wanted to get married or not. But she already knew the answer.

  • @Sueb91 No I'm glad there was no last kiss. The scene already hurts. We don't need a kiss cus that is just going to hurt more.

  • Poor Kate! :( So so sad! :(

  • Its always going to be Anna and Robert over everyone!

  • love reseeing this scene she was the perfect match for him and I still don't buy R&A over them anyday.

  • (Cont) They had their date books out in September, trying to pick a wedding date. Robert had never shown any fear of marriage in the past. Then we get the "Why ruin a good thing" scene, as though he was always opposed to getting married. I realize that from what we can ascertain, Edie's departure was a last minute thing, and they had to think fast, and they did let her leave with class and dignity. But, the break up was lame. There was no good reason for it.

  • That's the $64,000 question. The whole thing was horribly written in a last minute effort to write Edie off the show. Robert's bad behavior over Cheryl was partly used as an excuse, as they had begun fighting again, and she was questioning whether or not she knew the "real" Robert Scorpio. But it wasn't break up material. Then they drop the "unwilling to commit" bombshell. Huh? They were already engaged! Why was she asking him to marry her, and why was he refusing?

  • So why did they break up? Afterall, they are saying all those sentimental words to each other. Crazy stuff...

  • ...and a rock and roll over Beethoven

I remember that line so well, it was such an EL line, delivered as only she could have.

Wow, those little comments of Katie's showed she wasn't as brave as she was putting on - "little did I know that you'd turn out to be a thief - who stole my heart", "need you, no, want you?"

And why no kiss, come on, one more for the road. That end shot of the two of them, the distance - KILLS me....
