Does anyone know which of Paul Curran's books he cited when he talks about non-Western countries being more cosmopolitan?
-
china is rich, everything we make is chinese they never run out of work, they will buy every single company and corporation in the world, we will be the ones working for 5 cents a month, consumism my friends is giving them more power than you can imagine.
-
c`mon china
-
i will work in china in about 5 years, why? because the dragon will raise, and yeah we European people are arrogant leaders, i want to have masses of Chinese workers under my lead muhahahahahahaha

@steelyman40 china's middle class is the size of the US population already. and it is on that the domestic consumption plan is hinged on.
of course they will. the only problem with china is protectionist policy. who doesnt invest in china is a way better question.
the rate changes, but even through the world recession the growth rate was high.
-
@steelyman40 that is hilarious. ask any european whether germany is known to be the giver. its true germany is in a good position. very similar to china in that they are manufacture/export oriented.
but it is well known germany does very well under current euro financial system. other euro countries, not so much.
China thought of this 5 years ago at least. domestic consumption was the main goal in their 5 year plan....like two 5 year plans ago.

space is the epitome of technology. so you guess what the implications are that the Russians might be going to Mars with China.

@angryaznman Jesus! I just got back from Germany, with its 3% unemployment rate and pretty well run economy and it seems to me that they're positioned to bail everyone out also. Whatever. The point is there's a symbiotic relationship between China and the West. If the US suffers, how do you think it'll affect an export driven economy like China? What happens when Chinese workers make middle class incomes? Will people invest as much in China? Can it keep growing at that rate? math matters!
-
@angryaznman LOL! YOU THE STUPID ONE! You have no points. Nothing. You know ZERO! You have zero facts. Nothing you say makes any sense! What a loser! You so stupid! I 100% genius man---you 100% loser man, stupid all the way. You stupid, nothing you say matter--you the crazy one...like a crazy dog or some monkey that doesn't know nothing about it. You don't read what I read! LOL! WHAT A STUPID JOKE YOU ARE! ...This is the kind of bullshit that passes for debate on this channel.

@steelyman40 its not game or glory. its real life. country to country behaviour.
any american should know of the debt talks and how close US came to defaulting. course i doubt laymen even know what they means.
if you bother to read any international news, you would be aware of several euro countries in huge financial problems. hoping for China's aid, not the US.
its all real life fact.
Around 14.20 he says the reason we fail repeatedly to predict what's going to happen with China etc. is because we in the West don't understand that state. Bull. The truth is we can't predict China 25-50 years out because WE CAN'T PREDICT ANYTHING 1 YEAR OUT, LET ALONE 25. There are too many other instances of rubbish here to tackle, but suffice to say, I'm bothered that I just wasted 24 minutes of my life on this.

@steelyman40 Because we cannot guess the future with perfect accuracy, I post all the opposite takes and let my viewers make their own opinion. If you ask me, I doubt China can prosper as much as most people predict. I think India has better prospects because of demographics and democratic issues, but I'm not a specialist and my logic can be flawed. I prefer the future imagined by George Friedman. sorry for wasting 24 minutes of your life. These people don't pretend to know they just speculate.

@carvakan Please don't misunderstand me. I don't mean to suggest that you wasted any of my time. After all, I chose to watch it. I agree that India's probably in a better position and I tend to agree more with Friedman also. The fact that you acknowledge that your logic can be flawed suggests to me you're probably actually better at prediction! Ironic thing, really. Also, this guy used to be the editor for Marxism Today, so based on that alone he smells funny to me.
